Job Purpose Statement:

• The job holder will serve as a subject matter expert on digital payments innovation, will identify and develop local technology collaborations and partnerships that will be critical in informing the team’s understanding of the technology landscape and for creating successful initiatives for financial inclusion

• This role will work actively with Payment Service Providers, Finance, the product team, and across the payment process management (end-to-end) with a view to significantly grow share of wallet of our customers and the corresponding revenues


Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrates a sound knowledge of Payments product range, including alternative payment methods

• Demonstrates a full appreciation for product launch best practices, product risk management, Payment System Risk Management etc

• Strong Product management and analytical skills

• Familiar with innovation strategies

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, persuasion and negotiation skills across a diverse range of senior stakeholders

 

Required Qualifications / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a in a numerate course or any relevant field

• Minimum of 5 year's work experience in digital financial services within a bank, mobile network operator or similar institution

• Strong awareness of the legal, regulatory & policy frameworks within Nigerian financial and mobile services sectors

• Deep knowledge of trends in the international digital financial landscape

• Familiarity and experience working or interacting with the regulators that oversee or influence mobile and financial markets

• Experience working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment

Job Description

• Work closely with Finance, Technology, Operations and Products teams to drive timely, cost effective payment solution and process.

• Monitor and reconcile accounts

• Assist in reconciling subaccounts

• Act as liaison between various bank departments to facilitate account maintenance, resolve issues and escalate inquiries

• Maintain proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to, the Central Bank of Nigeria Fintech Act

• Participate in weekly status calls

• Assist in maintaining policies, procedures, and risk assessments

• Compliance with all regulatory requirements

• New Product rollout including documenting business requirements, conceptualising, development, implementation, piloting, and market roll-out.

• Promote the use of alternative payment methods

• Develop customised, efficient, and cost-effective payment solutions for customers

• Competitive understanding of the lottery industry, customer need identification and development of strategies and tactics to grow share and revenues

• Develop metrics for monitoring performance and periodic reporting
