  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the cement industry
  • Strong knowledge of cement plant machinery and equipment
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Good knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the cement industry
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications

Job Summary

  • The Dangote Cement Plc is in search of an extremely skilled Assistant General Manager of Mechanical, who specializes in the Cement Industry.
  • As the Assistant General Manager, your main responsibility will be to supervise the mechanical operations of our cement plants, guaranteeing the efficient operation of the machinery and equipment..

Key Duties

  • Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians in the maintenance, repair, and operation of cement plant machinery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and reliability of mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety consciousness among team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize plant performance and minimize downtime.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, procurement, and inventory control.
  • Create reports and presentations to communicate maintenance activities and performance to senior management.
