  • Bachelor's Degree from a reputable tertiary institution with a Postgraduate qualification, preferably an MBA degree.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing ERM and compliance frameworks in a complex organization.
  • Professional Certification such ICAN, ACCA or CIA is an added advantage.

  • The Head, Enterprise Risk & Compliance will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive risk management and compliance framework for the organization.
  • Your primary focus will be to ensure that the company operates within the risk appetite set and complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • The position requires a strategic leader with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and ensure a proactive approach to risk management and compliance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategic Development and Planning: Develop and implement the enterprise risk management (ERM) strategy aligned with the organization's objectives and provide strategic advice to the executive team on risk management and compliance matters.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and monitor the organization's key risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and oversee the risk assessment process to ensure timely reporting to the Board and senior management while promoting a risk-aware culture within the organization through training and awareness programs.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies by developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust compliance program, conducting regular compliance audits and investigations, liaising with regulatory bodies, and managing compliance reporting.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update risk management and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring effective communication and implementation across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments to integrate risk management and compliance practices and act as the primary point of contact for risk and compliance matters.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop the risk and compliance team, providing mentorship and support to enhance their professional growth.
