Responsibilities

- The Venture Success Manager (VSM) is obsessed with adding value to ventures and supporting them to achieve Product Market Fit (PMF) faster. As the day to day liaison for founders, VSMs build strong relationships with them, facilitating a positive founder experience and ensuring they get the most value out of the FFA partnership. This directly links to FFA’s vision of being the best partner for early-stage entrepreneurs in Africa.
- Together with the Venture Partner, VSMs are assigned to specific businesses that are going through the FFA investment process.
- They work closely with the Venture Partner to set goals with founders, and analyse risks across all businesses to prioritise interventions. While Venture Partners are responsible for creating a strategy for each business on getting to PMF, Venture Success Managers are responsible for its execution.
- This requires them to have a deep understanding of FFA’s methodologies and collaborate closely with the studio team who are responsible for executing the work. VSMs work with the team to create alignment, provide a POV on what needs to be done, assess a business's progress along the FFA Traction Framework and hold the team and founders accountable.
- FFA has a culture of experimentation and we are always seeking to improve our model and operations. The VSM plays a key role in experimenting around ways to improve our support of founders, as well as embedding best practice behaviours to facilitate collaboration, effective tracking and feedback loops.
