A Business Development Representative is responsible for proactive prospecting of new clients and looking for good sales leads. The position has a direct impact on the success or failure of a company.

The Business Development Representative will act as a layer between marketing and sales. A Business Development Representative handles all first contacts with new clients and builds relationships through marketing activities such as events, campaigns, direct mailing, emails etc. The goal of a Business Development Representative is to take a lead from a marketing campaign and follow the sales through until a quote is delivered.
