We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hardware Support Engineer to join our team. The Hardware Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services for hardware-related issues, ensuring the smooth operation of our hardware systems and infrastructure.


Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proven experience as a Hardware Support Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.

• Hands-on experience with hardware installation, configuration, and repair.

• Proficiency in hardware diagnostic tools and techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users and technical teams.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are a plus.


Responsibilities

Hardware Installation and Configuration:

• Install, configure, and deploy hardware components, including servers, workstations, networking equipment, and peripherals.

• Ensure proper setup and integration of hardware systems according to specifications and requirements.

Hardware Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as hardware diagnostics, cleaning, and preventive maintenance, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Troubleshoot hardware issues and perform repairs or replacements as necessary, both onsite and remotely.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and internal stakeholders, responding to hardware-related inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.

• Collaborate with other support teams, including software support and network support, to address complex technical issues and ensure seamless operation of integrated systems.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, including serial numbers, configurations, and warranty information.

• Document hardware-related procedures, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.

• Generate reports on hardware performance, maintenance activities, and support ticket metrics.

Hardware Upgrades and Expansion:

• Assess hardware requirements and recommend upgrades or expansions to meet evolving business needs.

• Plan and execute hardware upgrades, migrations, and expansions in coordination with other teams and stakeholders.
