This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Director of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) for Adara Development (Uganda). As the leader of Adara's Uganda operations, the Director will be responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of Adara's MNCH strategy. They will ensure the delivery of high-quality programming. foster strong partnerships, and provide exceptional financial management and governance. Leading a team of 18 people and acting a key member of Adara's Global Leadership Team, this role will be instrumental in achieving Adara Development's ambitious strategy.


Location:

Adara Development (Uganda) Based at Kiwoko Hospital with frequent travel across Nakaseke, Luwero, and Nakasongola Districts


Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in a leadership role within a large or international organisation

• Extensive experience with strategic planning. leadership and people management, quality improvement, project management and planning. monitoring and evaluation, and financial management.

• Master's Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. medicine, nursing, public health, social work, international development, business management, administration or finance).

• Clinical experience will be well-regarded.

• Fluency in Luganda and in spoken and written English to tertiary level.

• Comfortable working at both strategic and operational level.

• Ability to work cross-culturally and across different time zones, sometimes out of regular business hours.
