quality check, processing and marketing company in Mbarara. The Cooperative
compliments their efforts with an efficient and hygienic collection of their produce.
Currently, Kashaka Dairy Farmers Cooperative Society has recently become a partner of
the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) to process the collected
milk and produce cheese in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Project Manager will be directly involved in all functions of the
Enterprise inclusive of Marketing, Technical input to production, Quality Control training , Accounts Management, Health and Safety.

Currently, Kashaka Dairy Farmers Cooperative Society has recently become a partner of
the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) to process the collected
milk and produce cheese in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Project Manager will be directly involved in all functions of the
Enterprise inclusive of Marketing, Technical input to production, Quality Control training , Accounts Management, Health and Safety.
Project Managerial roles
- Coordinate , manage, supervise and monitor all project related activities.
- Set benchmarks for the review of performance and accountability structures and evaluate project performance per month in line with the funding objectives.
- Ensure the timely implementation of all project activities.
- Manage the society’s financial resources and other assets to ensure that they are effectively and efficiently utilized in accordance with the Union’s policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Accountant to produce and submit quarterly financial and narrative reports to UDET /USADF timely.
- Supervise, guide, motivate and evaluate society’s staff to ensure good performance and staff retention.
- Organize weekly and monthly staff meetings for the smooth implementation of project activities.
Marketing roles;
Set benchmarks for business growth
- Develop a marketing plan with appropriate strategies that focus on increasing milk and cheese sales and profitability.
- Work closely with the board to source for markets (domestic and international markets).
- Ensure timely product deliveries to clients
- Work closely with the Quality Officer to maintain a high quality product for the market(s).
Act as an Account manager for the different clients and ensure excellent customer service amongst other follow up issues as may be raised by the clients. developmental
Four years experience working with Small to Medium Enterprises and Farmer Based organizations in economic developmental
programs. Past experience working with donor agencies, Non Governmental Organizations or any other
entities in the dairy sector is an added advantage.
