Yusudi is supporting Buupass to hire a competent B2B Sales Manager in Uganda. BuuPass is a digital marketplace for urban travelers to book their travel tickets. They work with bus, shuttle, train, and flight operators to create seamless booking solutions. BuuPass is a market leader in Kenya and recently launched in Uganda. So far, BuuPass has processed over 7M tickets and some of the key clients they work with in Uganda include Devine Coaches, Mega Bus & Momento.
About You
You have 5 years of work experience in the Travel or logistics Industry or B2B Sales and/or IT, software development experience. Direct experience in the Travel or Bus Industry in Uganda will be an added advantage. Networks within transport are valuable.
You are familiar with the geography of Uganda and understand the bus operator landscape in country – numbers, concentration, needs to advise the team about customer acquisition.
You can build a sales pipeline and track leads for conversion efficiently. You are passionate about sales & exceeding individual bus operator targets, month on month.
You have worked with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
You have excellent proposal writing skills.
You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Swahili communication skills, and other local languages are welcome as the role requires that you have excellent communication skills with non-technical people.
You are comfortable with ambiguity and unpredictable work hours due to the nature of the business.
You are an intelligent, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual.
You are team-oriented with a very high record of ethical standards.
You have at least a Bachelor's degree/certificate in Sales, Marketing, and/or IT, Computer Science preferred.

- You will generate new leads, prospects, and partnerships with transport operators in the region.
You will recruit intercity bus and shuttle companies, parcel companies and transport providers and onboard them to the BuuPass platform.
You will recruit SMEs that will use parcel systems provided by bus, shuttle, and parcel companies on the BuuPass platform.
You will create a documented sales funnel and work in conjunction with Customer Care and other sales staff to resolve customer issues promptly.
You will collect and compare relevant data on the target market of bus operators in the region to understand competitive offerings in the bus industry, pricing, payment methods etc.
You will present strategies for expansion and analyze/study the company’s competitors.
You will manage end-to-end client relationships, including pitching, negotiation, contracting, billing/invoicing, payment collection, customer support, result tracking, and troubleshooting on an ongoing and consistent basis.
You will develop and manage the sales budget.
You will plan and execute activations and other prospecting initiatives.
You will work closely with the team to achieve Marketing and brand building needs.
You will regularly report to the key decision makers at BuuPass on market intelligence and tracking to closure of leads.
