B. Ensure sustainability of CWC interventions and support to the government of Uganda and
partners.C. Enhance coordination and collaboration aimed at combating wildlife crime among and
between state and non-state actors including communities, the private sector and civilsociety.• A Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., environmental
management, wildlife management, biology, social science, international relations, law,economics, or journalism).• At least 5 years of experience (in a similar position) working with government officials and/or
donors on wildlife conservation and sustainable development issues, preferably with aninternational Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) or Inter-Governmental Organization (IGO).• A willingness and ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of and experience in national and or regional/international policy processes
preferably within an East African context.• Work experience engaging with the private sector is a strong advantage.
• Experience in implementing USAID-funded projects is a strong advantage.
• Strong research and analytical skills, and an ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
• Strong networking skills and communication skills and ability to work in different cultural
contexts.• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with standard word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software,and with electronic communication technology

2. Document utilization of SMART, OWODAT, online secure information sharing platform and
CITES electronic permit system by MTWA, UWA and National anti-Wildlife Crime CoordinationTask Force (NWCCTF)3. Support data collection, analysis, and reporting on the CWC Learning agenda
5. Work together with the CWC Activity staff to document success stories, reports, lessonslearned and other communication materials for CWC Activity.
6. Develop and organize workshops, training sessions and conservation education and
awareness events in line with the CWC activity work plan and WCS’ CWT portfolio.7. Supervise consultants and manage short-term technical consultants while ensuring
compliance with WCS procurement policies and standards.8. Represent WCS at public events, conferences, meetings, and seminars.
