We're looking for an experienced growth expert who understands the connection between product design, marketing, partnerships and data analytics when it comes to achieving exponential growth results. You will own Numida’s global growth strategy interfacing across all parts of the organization to launch new markets, new partnerships, new acquisition channels and new products that will enable us to achieve our vision of serving 1 million micro and small businesses across the continent.

The Role:

Numida’s Director of Growth is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the CEO and the Board as necessary. You will be responsible for overseeing all global growth activities using Numida’s successes in Uganda as a blueprint for our entry into new markets – Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt – over the next 2 years. This role is reserved for a highly independent, analytical, and self-motivated leader that has a strong foundational understanding of startup growth concepts. You should be comfortable working in an extremely ambiguous environment and developing your own roadmap for success while effectively communicating your team’s successes, failures, and most importantly learning.

  • Strong leadership and project/people management skills. You are able to produce results very quickly and people love working with you.
  • Strong cash flow management and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong ability to achieve results in an ambiguous environment.
  • Strong business analysis, and resource allocation skills. You are able to effectively determine which spend activities will drive the most efficient results.
  • A proven track record producing growth results in previous roles.

Growth Strategy:

Define and continuously improve Numida’s global growth strategy to hit major milestones prior to our Series B raise. This will require you to be highly analytical and cross functional as you work with the finance, product, data and credit teams to increase customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value – KPIs you will be held accountable for.

Market Expansion: 

Lead in-depth market research to understand the unique challenges that Numida should expect when entering new markets identifying product localization requirements (in depth user research), compliance and regulatory requirements, competition, talent acquisition and customer acquisition strategy. Build out and manage launch teams in new markets to ramp up quickly and responsibly.

Partnership Development: 

Scope and onboard prospective strategic partners that will have a step change impact on Numida’s new client acquisition. Drive the necessary product changes required to serve these new customer segments.

Analytics: 

Manage our global growth dashboard and report effectively to the executive and investors as required. You must be highly analytical and know exactly how every dollar spent on growth is producing results across all of our growth channels (referral, digital marketing, strategic partnerships etc). Constantly develop and execute scoped experiments to test new acquisition channels and their efficacy.

Talent: 

Manage and develop local growth ops in each of Numida’s market. You will immediately oversee the Uganda growth team.
