The main duty of Education Specialist is to build a capacity building system that enables the existing and incoming LGIHE staff thrive and flourish on the work.
Essential Requirements
Educational background: Master degree in Education or PHD (Arts and Humanity subjects preferred)
Work experiences: at least 10 years teaching experience in primary or secondary schools (or at university level).
Language: Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
Candidates should be available to travel often in country and in other African countries.
• Provide lead support in the development and implementation of capacity building programs for all education officers, including orientation of the new staff;
• Provide support for material development for academic courses;
• Participate in supervision of students’ research;
• Participate in academic and professional research as may be required;
• Provide support in expression of interest, concept notes, proposals for new projects and sponsors in the fields of education, child protection, human rights and others.
