Role: Together with the Senior Management team, create and implement a marketing strategy compliant with manufacturers’ and Toyota group’s guidelines. Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings. Supervises and follows up ongoing programs

Core functions:

  • Collaborates with the MD and National Sales and Marketing Manager in establishing and recommending the most adequate marketing plan for each brand/product range

  • In charge of implementation and follow up of Marketing plans: liaison with service providers

  • Establishes, updates and manages a market intelligence database and regularly reports to MD, National Sales and Marketing Manager and Head office in France.

Details of functions:

Collect competitors’ data:

  • Establish and maintain a network of informers for competitors and market data collection

  • Collects information on stock, prices, marketing activities and new models on a regular basis

Reporting:

  • Report on a monthly basis on competitors’ activities & market data to Head of Sales and Head office in France


  • Report monthly on marketing activities of Toyota Uganda to France

  • Prepare and regularly update marketing presentations to be used for business meetings with partners

Communication:

  • Manages corporate image, websites activities, Facebook activities, and external communication: press, adverts, etc.

Marketing strategy

  • In collaboration with Head of sales and MD, design marketing plan for each brand-defining objectives, channels used, timing and cost

  • Manage implementation and follow up of marketing plans with service providers

  • Report on each marketing activity performed: result vs objectives, improvement needed in future

Specific knowledge required:

  • A BA degree in Marketing with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar marketing position in a multinational company

  • Qualified chartered marketer

  • Strong analytical and project management skills

  • Confident and dynamic personality

  • Strong creative outlook

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge, of Microsoft Office Suite, is required

  • Expert level in PowerPoint

  • A valid driver’s license
