Requirements:
University Degree/Diploma in Agricultural Sciences preferably Crop Husbandry or any other related field.
Excellent communication and listening skills
Strong observational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Leadership experience in a quality control setting
Experience developing and implementing quality control policies and procedures.
Experience in the fresh produce business is an added advantage.
Good technical and IT skills.
Strong negotiation skills
Good interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
Inspecting and documenting all incoming fresh produce, and packaging and ensuring all product quality standards are adhered to.
Perform routine quality and condition inspections on existing inventory
Communicate Quality Assurance issues, including defect levels and problem loads, to all team members
Verify customer specifications, quality requirements of product orders, documentation submitted and approved vendors
Assess the weights,sizes, colors and defects of produce to ensure that product is within specification.
Conduct daily pre-dispatch quality checks and conduct shipment/delivery quality inspections.
Ensure fresh produce quality standards are maintained at the site level
Setting the requirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance
Participating in meetings with other members of the team to discuss issues or problems with products or processes under the guidance and delegation of Plant Manager.
H/She will fully support B&S Produce on all matters related to quality standards to ensure compliance with standards and regulations and perform any other duties as required by management.
