PERSON SPECIFICATION

i) Masters of Business Administration or Master of Science Degree and PhD inAccounting or Accounting and Finance or related field from a recognizedInstitution/ University.

ii) Bachelors’ Degree with at least Second-Class Honours Upper Division in

Commerce (Accounting option), Business Administration (Accounting option),Bachelor of Science (Accounting option) from a recognizedInstitution/University.

iii) Should have full professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA orCIMA.

iv) Membership of a recognised professional accounting body like the Institute ofCertified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) or equivalent.

v) Should have at least 5 new publications in the area of specialization for first

track with one year’s experience or three (3) new publications in the area of specialization for ordinary track with 3 years’ teaching experience at the level ofAssistant Lecturer gained from a recognized institution of higher learning.

vi) Should have supervised at least one (1) graduate student to completion since

last promotion.

vii) Has excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills.

2. To guide and advise students on their academic performance and

attending to their queries on academic issues.
