Welding / NDT Engineer

Candidate profile

• Degree in Welding Engineering, or Internationally accredited/recognized diploma, qualification/certification such as IWE, C.Eng/I.Eng from a recognized academic institute.
  
• Minimum 10 year’s related experience in multidisciplinary oil and gas projects in a similar role.
  
• Very good knowledge of both Pipeline and Pressure Piping codes, standards, and applications.
  
• Strong background/knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing – Radiography, Phased Array + Time of Flight Diffraction Ultrasonics and conventional Ultrasonics

• Support the review of documents identified by the Surface QA/QC Lead and Engineering team.
  
• Review and approve PQR, WPS, PWPS and NDT procedures to ensure compliance to COMPANY requirements.
  
• Support large scale activities such as major Sub-CTR WPQ activities during execution by way of troubleshooting and providing guidance (best practice).
  
• Provide feedback/guidance to the team where necessary resulting from documentation under review.
  
• Ensure any deviations are clearly identified in the documentation under review.
  
• Support the QA/QC Lead in highlighting the key areas of concern and effectively relay solutions to the relevant site teams alongside the Discipline leads.
  
• Support, if needed the site (mission, welding trainings, etc.) and CTR suppliers/main sub-contractors as needed.
