About the role
Responsibilities
Set up and maintain a financial monitoring framework for the Program
Maintain up-to-date expenditure tracking against budget lines; flag variances and propose corrective actions.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports (budget vs actuals, burn rate, forecasts, notes/explanations).
Support cashflow planning, including forecasting and alignment with activity plans.
Review payment requests and supporting documentation for accuracy, allowability and completeness.
Coordinate with procurement/admin to ensure value-for-money and documentation compliance.
Maintain an organized financial filing system (digital and physical) for audit readiness.
Support internal/external financial reviews and audits; respond to queries and provide evidence packs.
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, templates, and guidance to program staff.
Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting/Business (or equivalent); professional qualification (CPA/ACCA) preferred.
3–5+ years in grants/program finance or project accounting.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, donor-style reporting, and audits.
High attention to detail; integrity and discretion.
Strong Excel/financial systems skills; ability to explain financial data clearly.
Proactive risk identification; solution-oriented.
