Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in marina operations, boating safety, procurement, purchasing, or related fields.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in boating safety, procurement, or recreation management preferred.
- Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- Passport must be valid for at least one year beyond hire date.
- Ability to meet and maintain contract medical requirements for the duration of deployment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Responsibilities
Marina Safety Specialist Duties
- Oversee daily marina operations, ensuring safe use of boats, watercraft, docks, and recreational equipment.
- Conduct safety inspections of vessels, life‑saving equipment, fuel storage, and dock facilities.
- Enforce marina safety rules, environmental regulations, and Navy/Amentum standards.
- Provide safety briefings, equipment orientation, and emergency procedure training to patrons.
- Monitor weather conditions, water hazards, and operational risks, adjusting activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, or equipment failures and document all actions taken.
- Maintain logs, inspection records, and safety documentation.
- Process purchasing requests for MWR programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
- Obtain vendor quotes, prepare purchase orders, and track procurement actions through completion.
- Maintain inventory records, supply logs, and purchasing documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, supply teams, and MWR leadership to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Support budget tracking, cost control, and procurement forecasting.
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and distributing purchased items.
