REFRENCE NUMBER: DSC 551 SAS 2022/01
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacant posts existing in Lira District Local Government. Application should be submitted in triplicate on Public Service Form 3 (Revised, 2008) to the Secretary District Service Commission, Lira publication forms can be obtained from Secretaries District Service Commission, Public Service Commission, stating cleariy the Post applied for and it's Reference Number. Sering Officers MUST route their applications through their respective Heads of Departments who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay. e ñed photocopies of Academic Certificates, Transcripts, Pass-slips, and Identity cards from all the Institutions/Schools attended Registration Certificates and Are Practicing Licenses where applicable and any other supporting documents with 3 recent Passport size photographs must be attached to each form. Ja somisted Candidates will be contacted for interviews


Minimum Qualification

Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Arts; or Social Sciences; or Development Studies; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Management Science; or Law; or Commerce (Management option); or Business Administration (Management option) or a related field from a recognized University/Institution. Applicants should possess an Administrative Officer’s Law Course Certificate plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration; or Management; or Development Administration; or a related field from a recognized awarding Institution.

Working Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience at Assistant Secretary Level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.

–       Taking Minutes of Senior Management meetings;

–       Assisting the Principal Assistant Secretary in managing Protocol affairs;

–       Providing administrative support to the Ministry or Department;

–       Acting as a link between Ministry or Department and Parliament;

–       Ensuring the maintenance of assets and facilities;

–       Ensuring the availability, proper use and maintenance of utilities;

–       Participating in the organization of the national functions

–       Appraising and supervising subordinate staff;

–       Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
