Sometimes you might not have someone to hold your hand when things are thick, especially if you’re in a leadership role. Of course, a mentor or helpful direct-line supervisor may come in handy with some nuggets of wisdom, but schedules can be an obstacle. This is why it’s good to be proactive when learning on the job. This may include taking some courses, reading books, or listening to relevant podcasts.

We all love a good podcast. It’s like a radio you can pause and listen to later! Plus, you actually get to choose the content you want to listen to, which is great considering there’s a podcast for literally everything under the sun (including the sun, I’m not kidding). Fortunately, there are categories to choose from ranging from health, education, culture, society, crime (my personal favourite), and business. Once you find a podcast you like, all you have to do is press play and learn on the go.

When you’re a manager it is important to always keep learning. That is what makes you a better leader. So you must embrace new information from any source with both hands. This is why podcasts are the perfect learning medium for anyone who wants to take in any new information.

If you want to get useful content, then you have to know which specific leadership podcasts to listen to. Luckily I’ve compiled a list of awesome leadership and management podcasts you can listen to on your commute, during a workout, or on your lunch break. The choice is yours. Happy listening!

If you struggle with productivity and goal setting as a professional, this is the leadership and management podcast for you. 2. CEO School

This one is for the entrepreneurs in the house (especially the girlies), who are leaders in their own right. 7. Let’s Take This Offline

With a title like that, I’m sure you’d be more than excited to get your hands on every episode. Host and former executive, Kishshana Palmer aims to redefine how we see leadership with this podcast. The show breaks down topics we don’t like to visit within the leadership space such as shame, vulnerability, and doubt. “Let’s Take This Offline” provides a safe space for anyone in leadership who doesn’t feel like they have everything together and need reassurance that it is okay.

8. How Leaders Lead

If you’re working on improving your leadership skills and becoming a better leader, it is good to get advice from different perspectives. This is the best podcast to help you do that, with interview-style episodes giving you access to top leaders in entertainment, sports, business, and more. Founded by David Novak (former chairman of a Fortune 500 company), he asks the right questions to get the insights every leader is looking for.

9. Self-Control & Cheese

Have you ever wanted to speak freely with your peers about some of the challenges you experience at work? This podcast is the safe space you never knew you needed. Hosted by Sara and Bridget, two young leaders working in fast-growing tech companies, who get into everything from having hard conversations with your supervisor to landing that promotion. 10. The $100 MBA

The $100 MBA Show is a podcast hosted by Omar Zenhom aimed at revolutionizing business education.
