Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  
A valid Nursing License from NCK.
Valid certification in BLS, ACLS. 
Specialty training in Quality/ IPC is highly desirable.
3+ years’ experience working in a busy hospital environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, team playing abilities, and communication skills.

1. IPC Program Management
a) Coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate IPC Program management and communication
b) Make routine rounds/ audits to units for case findings, review and supervision of the implementation of Infection control standards.
c) Assess risk of occupational exposures to infectious disease and report any potentially controversial findings or issues with widespread impact, including coordinating with PHOs in monitoring outbreaks.
d) Supervise waste management program, maintaining records of sharp injury register, culture reports, and nosocomial infection register.
e) As directed, participate in and/or lead committees related to and directly impacted by infection control.
2. Clinical Quality and Patient Safety
a) Coordinate investigations of incidents/ complaints, sentinel events, and data collection for corrective actions, including RCAs and action plans.
b)  Coordinate the collection, analysis and reporting of all quality indicators.
3. Perform administrative duties such as completing infection forms, reports, evaluations, maintaining dashboards, etc. to support IPC and quality improvement and accreditation activities.
4. Oversee the Education of staff, including orientation and Training to ensure performance improvement on IPC and quality.
5. Ensure that Avenue Healthcare corporate governance policies are adhered to, including preventing, detecting, and reporting any fraud or criminal activities, and Implementing audit recommendations.
6. Ensure adequate knowledge of, and compliance to all Avenue Healthcare policies, procedures, and systems, especially policies pertaining to the provision of medical services.
7. Adhere to Government and professional standards as guided by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
8. Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
