Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Gender and Women Studies, Protection (Child Protection), Social Work and Social Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in GBV and Child Protection preferably in the humanitarian/ refugee response.
• GBV and Child Protection case management experience
• Strong understanding of protection principles, SGBV and Child Protection approaches.
• Proven experience in coaching and mentorship of local partners in GBV and Child Protection.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to humanitarian values, including impartiality, neutrality, and respect for diversity.
• Strong social and communication skills for team management as well as for liaising with external stakeholders and partners.
• Facilitation, mentorship and coaching skills
• Problem solving skills, able to deal independently with field work related issues
• Results oriented
• Fluency in English; knowledge of refugee languages spoken in West Nile/Northern Uganda is an asset.
• Strong computer, report writing and documentation skills

Effective delivery of Gender-Based Violence Component by local partners
• Build capacity of local partners on GBV prevention and response through training, mentorship and coaching.
• Strengthen capacity of partners in reactivation the functionality of girls and women spaces (including offering first-level support to survivors) in refugee settlements.
Support local partners to build capacity of community GBV structures for sustainability of interventions.
• Oversee and support partners to enhance awareness on GBV and the referral system.
High quality delivery of Child Protection and CP Case Management Component
• Support local partners to establish systems for identification and offer emergency support to Unaccompanied and Separated Children and Child Mothers at reception and transit centers.
• Build capacity of local partner to track and respond to child rights violations and abuse, working through existing systems and structures.
• Empower partners to establish a strong system for case management support to Child protection cases including support in establishing/reactivating muti-disciplinary teams to conduct case conferences for children at risk, in need urgent decisions/support.
• Build capacity of partners to enhance child protection through implementing Caregiver Intervention/BeThere Methodology.
Partners’ adherence to GBV & CP quality standards:
• Develop and coordinate mentorship and coaching plans for local partners
• Ensure partners apply and adhere to GBV and CP standards and good practices
• Working with the project coordinator and M&E coordinator, support partners to use GBV and child protection/case management tools to track protection concerns and generate data on services offered.
Strengthen Local Partner Institutional Capacity to Deliver GBV and CP Services including CP and GBV case management:
• Design and implement capacity building plan for local partners based on training needs, through training, supervision, mentorship and coaching of partner teams on GBV, CP and Case management.
• Refine and rollout GBV and CP guidelines/training modules for partner implementation.
• Support partners to activate and support GBV and CP structures to sustain project activities.
• Organize and facilitate regular review meetings on GBV and Child protection across local partners for knowledge sharing, peer support and improvements.
• Mentor partners in developing systems and procedure for CP and GBV case management
Coordination and reporting:
• Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents related with CP and SGBV activities
• Represent War Child at Protection, Child Protection, GBV Working Groups and other relevant coordination meetings.
• Contribute to CP War Child’s CP strategy development
• Perform any other relevant tasks in line with the action, and War Child’s mandate.

• Any other duties as assigned by line manager in line with these terms of reference and the fulfillment of the tasks.
