Cosmetics and Pharmaceutical industries is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join their team in East Africa.
Job Summary:
You will be responsible for the management of the operations, sales and service team, and the
achievement of the territory sales target.
Territory: East Africa
Daily Tasks:
- Team Management: Manage the schedule and priorities of the sales team, providing support with customer visits, negotiations, and deal closing.
- Sales Achievement: Target and achieve sales with key accounts, multinationals, and/or big projects.
- Prospection: Target new prospects, regain lost customers, or maximize the potential of existing accounts.
- Speed: Respond to any request within 24 hours to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Competence: Understand customers’ specific requirements, collect detailed information, prepare RFQ forms and quotations, and close deals.
- Reporting: Continuously report all activities on a cloud-based CRM, providing detailed information and customer feedback.
- Warehouse and Logistics Management: Perform periodic inventory counts and ensure timely logistics and order delivery.
- Operations: Follow through on all operations and admin responsibilities for the territory.
Responsibilities:
- Team Development: Ensure continuous coaching and guidance for all team members in product knowledge and soft skills.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a high level of technical product knowledge through continuous training.
- Pricing: Set pricing and negotiate with suppliers and customers to achieve target gross margins.
- Management Reporting: Prepare reports on activities, results, payments, and forecasts for the team.
- Professionalism: Ensure a 24-hour response to all stakeholders in line with the company’s culture.
- Hard Work: Ensure the completion of all tasks up to customer satisfaction.
- Integrity: Deliver all promises within deadlines to customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Business Responsibility: Protect the company from potential business risks with doubtful customers, persons, or problematic transactions.
- Payment Collection: Ensure all company payments are collected on time to avoid financial risks.
- Availability: Always available by phone and email, even after hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Additional Duties: As assigned or required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree: Engineering is a must.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in sales, and 8 years in management.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Autonomy: High performer without close monitoring, always keeping company objectives in mind.
- Initiative: Continuously takes initiatives to discover new business opportunities.
- Honesty: Express honesty with all stakeholders about all topics.
- Relations: Maintain pleasant and respectful relations with colleagues as if they are customers.
- Approach: Highly professional attitude and positive approach with customers and suppliers.
