Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Area Sales Manager has the primary responsibility for managing all sales activities within a defined geographical region. The successful candidate should be keen on working with small-scale farmers with an aim of transforming business.

About Role


Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Area Sales Manager has the primary responsibility for managing all sales activities within a defined geographical region. The successful candidate should be keen on working with small-scale farmers with an aim of transforming business.



Responsibilities

  • You will be the primary person responsible for ensuring execution of the Commercial and Sales strategy for the company. This position requires a strong sales skill as well as a capacity to make data-driven decisions to inform operations and sales execution.

  • Share market intelligence relevant to our business (competitor movements, customer insights, pricing, etc.)

  • Organize and engage your team ensuring they stay motivated and connected

  • Identify training requirements and ensure regular training is done

  • Coach and mentor team members to ensure a culture of high performance and pro-active problem solving

  • Prepare and submit performance reports to the senior management.

  • Come up with unique ideas to help our brand maximize sales and build upon existing strategies that have provided great results in the past.

  • Maintain a smooth flow of feedback throughout the sales team and encourage an environment of constructive and healthy criticism.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Sales management consistently meeting and beating targets

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in commerce or related field

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

  • Strong business sense and industry expertise

  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
