We are looking for a Sales Associate for our Business Development team based in Kenya who will have the responsibility to convert leads into clients. You will be focused on closing new leads, bringing new outstanding features at the best value to our customers.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Sales Associate for our Business Development team based in Kenya who will have the responsibility to convert leads into clients. You will be focused on closing new leads, bringing new outstanding features at the best value to our customers.

  • You will own the full sales cycle; from lead to a successfully on boarded and trading business.
  • Targeted sector conversions: Horticulture, Tea, Flower, Tourism and other Export Product/services segments.
  • Received support to engage and align effectively in C-level corporate prospects, actively listen to understand business objectives and challenges and align our solutions.
  • Establish a trusted/strategic advisor relationship with each key customer and drive the continued value of Verto products and services.
  • Manage and report accurate forecast and pipeline, achieve sales goals & KPIs Establish an effective relationship with internal Operations, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • You will handle client product demos, and be an expert in the FX and payment industry, consulting & advising clients when needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in sales or business development preferably within a fast-paced B2B SaaS enterprise.

  • Ambitious, self-motivated, confident with high integrity.

  • Financially astute with knowledge of business needs and concerns and must be able to demonstrate success in new business sales in a dynamic environment consistently achieving or exceeding targets.

  • Track record of selling software / SaaS/web services into key business accounts

  • Strong desire to learn - both for yourself, and to help us develop as a team and company

  • Strong presentation and listening skills: comfortable presenting and negotiating with senior executives (C-level) Great writer - you can craft concise, compelling messages that drive people to act.

  • Excellent communication skills - your calm and confident at fielding inbound client enquiries.

  • Tech-savvy - you pick up new tools quickly and are happy finding your way around them.
