Description

Strong knowledge of diesel/gas engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and generator controls.
Proficiency with hand/power tools, diagnostic equipment, schematics, and multimeters.
5+ years of experience in generator or heavy equipment repair
Minimum of a high school diploma + technical/vocational training in diesel mechanics, electrical technology, or related field.
Physical fitness and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, fuel, and control system issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.
Perform preventive maintenance (oil/filter changes, lubrication, coolant checks, battery service) and emergency repairs.
Repair or replace engines, alternators, fuel systems, voltage regulators, transfer switches, and control panels.
Conduct load bank testing, functional testing, and commissioning of new or repaired generators.
Handle field service calls, installations, and on-site repairs while maintaining accurate service records.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. inchcape.com
