Perioperative Care Nurse – Cardiac Surgery - Rivers

• Prepare and assess patients for cardiac surgery.
• Provide perioperative and postoperative nursing care.
• Assist the surgical team with cardiac procedures and theatre preparation.
• Monitor patients and promptly identify and escalate complications.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, perfusionists, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMCN licence.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in cardiac surgery, cardiothoracic theatre, ICU, or perioperative care.
• Strong clinical assessment, monitoring, and emergency-response skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
