Housing Finance Bank (Uganda)

First incorporated as a private limited company in 1967 as Housing Finance Company of Uganda Limited carrying out business as a non-Banking credit institution with focus on providing mortgage finance for construction of residential houses and also accepting saving deposits from the public, was licensed and regulated by Bank of Uganda as a commercial Bank in 2007 to carry on the business of Banking under the financial Institutions Act No.2 of 2004, thus changing status to become a public limited liability company and also changing name to Housing Finance Bank Limited (HFB).
