EAtal is a start-up based in East Africa on a mission to empower young people within the region to do more. In Africa, there is a substantial gap between the number of young people looking for gainful employment and available job opportunities. This gap is further exacerbated by the mismatch between the skills of young people entering the workforce and the needs of employers. Our business model solves this problem. The EAtal marketplace was designed to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of East Africa’s talent. East Africans (citizens & residents) are able to sign up as Talent; and companies worldwide signup as Employers. They can then tailor detailed profiles and find their ideal match. Through our region-focused approach, we propose to increase the visibility of East Africa’s most skilled and qualified talent and make them available to companies worldwide. We are passionate about creating opportunities for the youth to improve their proficiency in diverse work environments as they navigate their career trajectory; all while placing them before the most fitting employers. EAtal values continued learning! Understanding that there is a mismatch between the skills of young people entering the workforce and the needs of employers has enabled us to carefully craft mentorship and capacity building programs to nurture and upskill our Talent in their various fields and industries of their interest.
