Coming to Nairobi this September from Fred Swaniker, the founder of the African Leadership University (ALU) and the African Leadership Academy (ALA), ALX Launchpad is a unique leadership accelerator for high-potential, self-driven and inspired recent graduates that empowers you to launch your career or incubate your own venture.
This programme will prepare you to be successful in today's competitive job market in two ways:
- Empower you with critical 21st century skills to become highly attractive to employers or to start your own venture
- Give you connections to top employers, entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors
As a part of the six-month intensive Launchpad, you will develop skills in project management, leadership, communication and data-driven decision making while working to solve real-world problems for ALX's company partners. After the Launchpad, you will be empowered to join one of the company partners for an internship or full-time job, or start your own venture and be a life-long part of the ALX community.
A typical day in the Launchpad might include working with a team on an entrepreneurial idea and building a financial model. After that, you might work on a go-to-market strategy for a top Kenyan company that you’ll present to their senior management. Come evening, Launchpad members can look forward to mingling with the likes of top CEOs, mentors and entrepreneurs during ALX Connect events or attending one of many workshops on topics ranging from Human Centred Design to raising capital for a start-up.
