Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager will oversee effective management of all availableresources within their assigned region and maximize sales profitability, expandmarket share and exceed customers’ expectations whilst adhering to GDL policies

and procedures. This role is also responsible for the following acrossmultiple assigned retail outlets:
  • Building customer centric culture across theentire region


  • Consistent achievement of sales targets

  • Supporting the teams on all operationalissues/Interface with other departments 


  • Leading the sales team through effectivepeople management practices


  • Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG industry.


    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding regional sales targets.

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.

    • Willingness to travel within the assigned region.

    • Proficiency in using sales CRM software and MS Office suite.

    • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to achieve regional sales targets.
    • To achieve Customer Base targets via acquisition drives & supporting HQ-led Trade Marketing & Brand Activities.

    • To drive Channel Specific Agenda in line with Company targets

    • To undertake Channel Partner Relationship management to ensure sustainable business practices and profitability (ROI).

    • To oversee & drive the people capability agenda across all levels – Internal and external sales reps

    • To ensure customer expectations regarding standard of services & product knowledge are met

    • To monitor the activities of competition and to prepare counter action plans.

    • To build interfaces & relations with other departments to driver overall Gilani’s agenda in the region: Finance, Logistics, Marketing, Supply chain, Command Center

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the region.

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new distribution channels and partnerships.

    • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers within the region.

    • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to the National Sales Manager.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop localized promotional activities and marketing campaigns.

    • Conduct regular market visits to assess customer needs, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.

    • Train and develop the sales team members to enhance their selling skills and product knowledge.

    • Ensure effective implementation of sales strategies, policies, and procedures within the region.
