Carpentry Technician II

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining updated inventory and overall maintenance of equipment and facilities within the designated work station
  
• Cleanliness, organization and general layout of the work station
  
• Responsible for issuing and receiving tools and equipments to and from trainers and trainees
  
• Reporting to section heads on delays, problems, materials equipment needed and progress on practical requisitions
  
• Preparation and assembly of practical materials
  
• Ensuring safety of the workshop and equipment
  
• Responsible for supervising and ensuring safety measures amongst trainees and any attachees in the workshop
  
• Carry out repairs and maintenance of equipment in the institute.
  

Requirements

• Craft certificate in Building Technology/Carpentry
  
• Must have at least 3 years' experience with a reputable institution or organization
  
• Must be computer literate
  
• Registration with Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) will be an added advantage
  
• Above the age of 25 years
