Your profile

  • Graduate in Horticulture, Floriculture or Agriculture
  • 5 -7years’ experience in a Flower Industry preferably Roses Production.
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar or related position
  • Excellent leadership skills and management skills
  • Analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and team player facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office applications, particularly with Excel


Responsibilities
  • Preparing Chemical orders in accordance with the approved chemical budget.
  • Ensure and oversee periodic inspection of spray equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Oversee daily crop protection activities across the farm.
  • Performs proactive crop protection analysis and evaluation on a regular basis. Evaluate current growing practices and make recommendations based on the results of the evaluation for maximum production
  • Ensure hiccups are dealt with pro-actively. In case there are issues affecting your crop protection activities you are supposed to find out the root cause of the issue and pro-actively deal with it.
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses, make sure we stay within the budgets that have been agreed on.
  • Set policies and processes, ensure all processes are captured in policies and processes for all employees to access. Ensure crop protection procedures and policies are updated according to new developments.
  • Provide appropriate training and education on the safe use and operation of equipment and spraying techniques.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally. Employees are, our biggest asset, you with your team are responsible that staff is engaged, and satisfaction is maintained.
