Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a

related field from a recognized institution.


General Work Experience

- At least 5 years of relevant experience in ICT support, network administration, or systems

management.

- Previous working experience in African Union working environment and higher educational

institution will have an added advantage

- Experience working in an organization providing IT support services.

- Demonstrated experience in handling ICT equipment and systems in a professional environment.

- Experience in working with different departments and supporting end users.


Specific work Experience

- Experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.

- Experience in network administration, including LAN/WAN setup, routers, switches, and internet

connectivity management.

- Proven experience in troubleshooting system, network, and hardware issues.

- Experience in data backup, recovery procedures, and cyber security practices.

- Experience in managing user accounts, email systems, and access control.

- Experience in maintaining ICT inventory and preparing technical reports.

- Experience supporting institutional systems such as ERP, MIS, or website management



Responsibilities

- Provide technical support to staff and users on hardware, software, and network-related issues.

- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, servers, and other ICT equipment.

- Manage and monitor the organization’s network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, internet
connectivity, Wi-Fi).
- Ensure data security, system backups, and antivirus protection.
- Maintain and update software applications and operating systems.
- Troubleshoot system errors and resolve ICT-related problems promptly.
- Manage user accounts, emails, and access rights.
- Support the implementation of new ICT systems and technologies.
- Maintain the organization’s website and other digital platforms (if applicable).
- Keep inventory of ICT equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
- Provide basic ICT training and guidance to staff when necessary.
- Prepare ICT reports and advise management on technology improvement
- Mange the PAU Web Portal and update information such as news, events, vacancy

announcements and electronic library management

- Design and implement an online Anti Plagiarism system

- Implement the student/Lecturer attendance and Quality Assurance Processes
-Coordinate student exhibitions and identify strategic exhibitions to be showcased across the
continent
- Responsible for all PAU standard operating procedures documentation and electronic file
management using drop box
- Coordinate printing all project documents, pamphlets, banners and other documents relevant
to the Institute

- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director
