Role Objective
A Payroll Analyst is responsible for processing payroll and keeping track of employee salaries and pay. Other duties include responding to payroll inquiries, as well as collaborating with various departments to enhance payroll service efficiency. Other responsibilities include the preparation of reports, compiling and reporting on earnings and deductions summaries, leaves, and other statutory requirements.

A Payroll Analyst is responsible for processing payroll and keeping track of employee salaries and pay. Other duties include responding to payroll inquiries, as well as collaborating with various departments to enhance payroll service efficiency. Other responsibilities include the preparation of reports, compiling and reporting on earnings and deductions summaries, leaves, and other statutory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all inputs are captured and uploaded correctly in the payroll system. Clarification is also sent to different HR partners for any adjustments and corrections noted.
Process monthly payroll and prepare the required reports.
Proactively monitor status of clearances and ensure that resigned employees comply with the two-week deadline to surrender company-issued assets such as laptop, phone, etc.
Process final pay, endorse for review and approval, monitor payment processing and releasing of payment. This also includes collation of signed quit claim, and COE.
All inputs to payroll should be validated with 100% accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience with payroll processing in Kenya
Has experience with either manual or automated payroll computation
Knowledge of governing laws about statutory benefits in Kenya
Excellent skills in Excel
Good written and verbal communication skills to address payment disputes and inquiries
Has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and Finance
Has great attention to details
Professional and patient in terms of employees' concerns
Experience with Zemo (payroll system) is a plus
