Description

The Technical Solar Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise in the sales of

solar PV solutions. They analyze client needs, design feasible solar systems, prepare technical
proposals, and support the sales team with accurate system specifications to close deals

efficiently.

  1. Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent technical qualification.
  2. Practical 3-5 years of experience in knowledge of solar PV system design, installation, and maintenance.
  3. Experience in site assessments, system sizing, and creating technical proposals.
  4. Familiarity with solar software tools (PVsyst, Helioscope, PVSyst alternatives, or AutoCAD for layouts).
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
  6. Ability to translate technical specifications to non-technical clients.
  7. Valid driver’s license for site visits


Responsibilities
  1. Conduct site assessments to determine energy requirements, solar exposure, and feasibility.
  2. Design solar PV systems, including grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid solutions, and select appropriate components (panels, inverters, batteries).
  3. Prepare technical proposals, layouts, and cost estimates that align with client budgets and technical needs.
  4. Support sales teams with technical presentations and clarifications for clients.
  5. Collaborate with procurement and installation teams to ensure accurate system specifications.
  6. Stay updated on solar technologies, components, and regulatory standards.
  7. Provide technical troubleshooting during pre- and post-sale phases
