Description
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English/ NABTEB, or Trade Test Grade.
- NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) in a related discipline.
- Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in motor rewinding and repair, alternator rewinding, generator maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Carry out rewinding activities in the workshop for the company and its subsidiaries
- Assess and quantify materials needed for individual rewinding jobs
- Ensure cost-effective use of materials to reduce wastage
- Repair and rewind power plant alternators
- Create and maintain a proper record of completed jobs in the workshop logbook
- Diagnose electrical faults in motors and rotating equipment and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Dismantle, clean, and reassemble electric motors, generators, and alternators during overhaul and maintenance activities.
