Description
- Strong knowledge of diesel/gas engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and generator controls.
- Proficiency with hand/power tools, diagnostic equipment, schematics, and multimeters.
- 5+ years of experience in generator or heavy equipment repair
- Minimum of a high school diploma + technical/vocational training in diesel mechanics, electrical technology, or related field.
- Physical fitness and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, fuel, and control system issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.
- Perform preventive maintenance (oil/filter changes, lubrication, coolant checks, battery service) and emergency repairs.
- Repair or replace engines, alternators, fuel systems, voltage regulators, transfer switches, and control panels.
- Conduct load bank testing, functional testing, and commissioning of new or repaired generators.
- Handle field service calls, installations, and on-site repairs while maintaining accurate service records.
