Requirements
Who you are:
  • A Master's Degree in Social Science, Science, or any related field. Relevant professional certification would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, at least three (03) years in a managerial role and Strategic Engagement; Non-profit experience is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to healthcare and/or health systems strengthening and/or experience working on public health projects
  • Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) skills and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Experience in project operations support and knowledge management is required..
  • Strong organizational, analytical, reasoning, and research skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects and proactively manage projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership skills, including good problem-solving skills and the ability to inspire confidence in teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a strong aptitude for succinctly presenting thoughts and ideas to senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Action-oriented and resilient in a fast-paced environment.

Purpose of the Position

  • The purpose of the Associate Manager Strategic Engagement and Support role is to support the Manager of Strategic Engagement and Support in executing strategic initiatives, fostering key relationships, and providing comprehensive support to various departments within the organization.
  • This includes assisting in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, project management, and operational support activities.
  • The role aims to contribute to the achievement of organizational goals by facilitating communication, collaboration, and effective decision-making across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:

Strategic Planning Support:

  • Collaborate with the Manager of Strategic Engagement and Support to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Assist in conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate strategic insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with all internal stakeholders and teams to develop and implement strategic partners initiatives to secure sustainable investments

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, vendors, and industry experts.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and other engagements to facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries, requests, and feedback from stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Maintain and manage active database of stakeholders and partners
  • Keep the directorate updated on the changing status of the stakeholders and actions taken to build a sustainable alliance.
  • Proactively manage the stakeholders and partners Engagement progression using eHA asana tool.
  • Strengthen mutual working relationship with the NBD team to contribute actively in partnership sourcing, development and Engagement
  • Lead planning of annual partnership event to consolidate on eHA relationship
  • Liaise actively with GMO to manage expectations, agreements and performance of sub partners, including local organisations

Project Management:

  • Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic partnership and engagement across the active projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, allocate resources, and track progress towards project milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, solve problems, and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.
  • Liaise with project manages to resolve Manages all partners feedbacks and document appropriately for learning
  • Lead in the documentation of all partners engaged across the project cycle.
  • Build capacity of project Management team on effective partnership, feedback management and maintaining sustainable business ethics

Operational Support:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Manager of Strategic Engagement and Support, including process improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and tracking expenditures related to strategic initiatives.
  • Handle other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the team and organization.

  • May frequently travel between company worksites.
