Description
- Refinery Operations: Direct daily refinery processes including crude oil distillation, product blending, and quality assurance.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Nigerian regulatory standards, environmental laws, and international best practices.
- Team Leadership: Supervise engineers, technicians, and operators; provide training and mentorship.
- Environmental Management: Collaborate with the environmental consultancy unit to minimize emissions, manage waste, and implement pollution control measures.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Work with the petroleum marketing and haulage divisions to guarantee timely product distribution.
- Marine & Logistics Integration: Align refinery output with marine transport services for domestic and international supply.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as throughput, yield, downtime, and cost efficiency.
- Innovation & Sustainability: Drive adoption of cleaner technologies and sustainable refinery practices.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years experience in refinery operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian oil & gas regulations and international refinery standards
- Proven track record in environmental compliance and waste management integration
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
