Requirements
• An honors degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Information Technology, Mass Communication, Journalism.
• Post Graduate training in management is an added advantage
• Membership to relevant bodies or associations

• Participate in the review, development, and ensure implementation of the Communication and Dissemination strategy, policy, guidelines, manuals, toolkits, and framework for statistical information and data.
• Participate in the development, and undertake the maintenance and update of digital and social media platforms.
• Conceptualize and assist in designing of innovative approaches to promote the uptake and use of data and statistics from a design and data visualization perspective taking note of the divergent and ever-changing user needs, the design of creative data and statistics products, development of compelling infographics, illustrations and other visuals and graphics
• Organize and design communication and dissemination events.
• Contribute towards production of the periodic staff e-Newsletter, statistical spotlight, in-house short articles, scripts, blogs, story tales for publication on UBOS e-channels, proactively seeking out newsworthy stories based upon the good practices of the Bureau.
• Supervise and undertake field visits to document UBOS field activities, gather stakeholder perceptions and capture knowledge attitudes and practices
• Participate at National, Regional, and international statistical communication and dissemination training programs.
• Coordinate and facilitate statistical communication and dissemination literacy trainings
• Prepare weekly, quarterly, and annual progress reports in accordance with established procedures
• Participate in the preparation of the section’s budget, workplan, and procurement plan.
• Supervise, mentor, develop and conduct performance appraisals of staff in the department.
• Prepare and submit timely accountability for resources.
• Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
