in public health or other relevant field.

• At least five years of work experience in knowledge management activities for international

development projects: preferably in the health sector.

• Previous experience with USAID-funded projects is of an advantage.


• Excellent writing and editing skills required.


• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.


• Demonstrate experience in knowledge management, including the ability to identify and document

project activities and achievements, best practices, success stories, and lessons learned.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate information to stakeholders at all levels using a variety of

communications approaches.

• Demonstrated ability to work with teams to produce written products and media, adhering to

deadlines, and short turn-around times.

• Excellent writing and editing skills required.

1. Identify, document and disseminate project activities and achievements. Promote project
successes and lessons learned utilizing a variety of communication channels.

2. Work with project research and M&E and Learning teams, technical teams and partners,

Government (Ministry of Health and district Local Governments), communities and projectbeneficiaries to identify, document, and disseminate best practices, success stories, and lessonslearned.

3. Design and maintain a life-of-project inventory of all technical reports and products, including

electronic and hard copies, and distribution list.

4. Provide technical writing and editorial support to major project deliverables.

5. Provide desktop publication support for project deliverables and dissemination products.

6. Lead documentation of project success stories and communication activities for quarterly andannual program reports, assuring results-oriented, reader-friendly reports.

7. Assure timeliness and high quality of all project knowledge products, deliverables, and

achievements.

8. Write, edit, and at times, oversee the design of project materials, including success stories,

monthly update articles, and blog posts.

9. Identify topics for documentation, collect information through interviews and on-the-ground

research and observe, and determine appropriate mediums for documentation anddissemination.

10. Ensure the project print and online materials are consistent with donor branding guidelines

11. Collaborate with the MJAP Learning and Knowledge management team in Jinja and at the MJAP

Headquarters team to regularly develop and share content on the MJAP website and social mediaplatforms: develop and review the content, assist in the identification relevant topic areas, andcollect and disseminate best practices.

12. Monitor relevant media coverage, take photos, and video, and maintain a photo and video library

and supporting photo/video release documentation.

13. Provide support to the project Chief of Party when needed, including preparation of project briefs

for supported hospitals, MOH, Partners and together with the other project staff present projectwork at high-level meetings and conferences.
