Associate Consultant - Adult Cardiology

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat cardiovascular adult conditions.
  

• Implement patient care management plans.
  

• Conduct ward rounds in the specialty area.
  

• Participate in training programmes for all health professionals.
  

• Supervise medical officers, interns, and trainees.
  

• Identify procurement needs of the department for equipment, drugs, and other logistics.
  

• Prepare departmental workplans, budgets, and reports.
  

Person/Job Specifications:

• MB.Ch.B. degree from a recognized university or institution.
  

• Master of Medicine degree (Internal Medicine) or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  

• Fellowship training in Adult Cardiology or a Master's in Cardiology from a recognized institution.
  

• Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
  

• Valid practicing license.
  

Experience:

• Working experience of at least three (3) years at a Medical Officer level.
