Associate Consultant - Paediatric Cardiac Surgery

To diagnose and manage paediatric patients requiring cardiac surgery, ensuring timely and effective treatment and optimal patient outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat paediatric conditions and conduct cardiovascular surgeries.
  

• Implement patient care management plans.
  

• Conduct ward rounds in the specialty area.
  

• Participate in training programmes for all health professionals.
  

• Supervise medical officers, interns, and trainees.
  

• Identify procurement needs of the department for equipment, drugs, and other logistics.
  

• Prepare duty rosters.
  

Person/Job Specifications:

• MB.Ch.B. degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
  

• Master of Medicine degree in General Surgery from a recognized university/institution.
  

• Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
  

• Valid practicing license.
  

Experience:

• Working experience of at least three (3) years as a Medical Officer.
