Biomedical Technician

Reports to: Senior Biomedical Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain up-to-date inventory registers and asset tags for all medical and biomedical equipment.
  

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on clinical equipment across the facility.
  

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on malfunctioning biomedical machines.
  

• Plan, specify spare parts, and estimate cost budgets for equipment servicing and repairs.
  

• Carry out equipment testing, acceptance inspections, and safety calibrations on medical devices.
  

• Conduct routine servicing and cleaning of specialized medical machinery.
  

Person/Job Specifications:

• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or Medical Equipment Technology from a recognized institution.
