Description
Responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking meals for crew members and passengers aboard a ship. This includes managing the kitchen inventory, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and occasionally catering for special dietary requirements and events.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have professional culinary training or equivalent experience.
- Proven work experience as a cook or chef, preferably in the maritime industry.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Valid health and food handling certificates.
