Description
To operate and maintain deck equipment and assist ship engineer officers to operate, maintain and repair engines, machinery and auxiliary equipment aboard ships or self-propelled vessels.
Qualifications & Experience
At least Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent and the following maritime training;
- National Certificate of Competence Reg I/2, II/5
- Basic Safety Training VI/1 (Achieved within previous five (5) years);
a. Personal Survival Techniques
b. Fire prevention and firefighting
c. Elementary First Aid
- d. Personal Safety and Social responsibilities
- Medical fitness I/9
- Training onboard;
a. Basic safety familiarization
b. Ship specific familiarization
- c. Security familiarization
