Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Science, Geography, Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Data Science, or related field.
  • Additional certification in GIS software, spatial analysis, or remote sensing will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in GIS, spatial analysis, or geospatial data management.
  • Experience supporting humanitarian or development programs is preferred.
  • Experience working in protection, cash assistance, or shelter programs is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in refugee or displacement contexts is highly desirable.
Responsibilities

GIS Mapping and Spatial Analysis

  • Develop and produce GIS maps and spatial visualizations to support Protection, Cash, and Shelter programming.
  • Map project locations, service delivery points, and beneficiary coverage across refugee settlements and host communities.
  • Conduct spatial analysis to identify vulnerability hotspots and service gaps.

Data Management and Analysis

  • Support the design and management of geospatial databases for project data.
  • Clean, analyze, and visualize spatial data for program monitoring and reporting.
  • Integrate GIS data with program monitoring data to support analysis and decision-making.

Support Program Planning and Monitoring

  • Work with program teams to support evidence-based planning and targeting protection, cash, and shelter interventions.
  • Support Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) mapping for cash assistance programs.
  • Map shelter construction progress and infrastructure development.

Information Visualization and Reporting

  • Develop maps, infographics, and visual reports for internal and external reporting
  • Support program teams in producing GIS-based visualizations for donor reports and presentations.
  • Ensure GIS outputs are clear, accurate, and accessible to program teams.

Coordination and Collaboration

  • Work closely with MEAL, Protection, Cash, and Shelter teams to ensure spatial data supports program implementation.
  • Support coordination with government agencies, UN partners, and humanitarian actors on GIS data and mapping.
  • Participate in information management and GIS coordination meetings at settlement or district level.
