Qualification Required:
- DIPLOMA : Medical Laboratory Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution - Mandatory
- Diploma Certificate/Trinscript - Mandatory
- Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) - Mandatory
- Ordinary and Advanced-level Certificate - Mandatory
Responsibilities
- Carry out laboratory screening of patients
- Preparation, Staining, reading and storage of blood smears
- Sampling, processing and storage of blood for haematology, biochemistry and PK component of the study
- Prepare and organize sample shipment
- Organise shipment of samples for haematology, biochemistry and PK analysis
- Collect and carry out analysis of urine samples
- Collection and storage of filter paper samples for performance of molecular studies on malari
- Recording results of laboratory evaluations
- Keeping record of all laboratory activities
- Perform laboratory quality assurance for all laboratory procedures
- Perform other tests as requested by the clinician
- Requisition of laboratory supplies
