Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Statistics
  • Bachelors degree in Information technology
  • Bachelors degree in Quantitative Economics
  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems or any Data Management Related course
Person Specification
  • Degree in any data management-related field.
  • Data analytics and presentation skills using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in HMIS data management and coordination at the health facility and district level.
  • Experience in the navigation of DHIS2, eCBSS, eAfya, eRegistry and any other EMR used at facility level for data management.
  • Previous experience in supporting TB and TB/HIV district and site-level data management tasks.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with health facilities in Kampala, Mukono, and Wakiso, and previous experience working with IDI, will be an added advantage


Responsibilities

  • Mentor health facility staff on proper documentation using national HMIS tools and applicable digital systems, particularly eAfya, digital registers, and Clinic Master.
  • Ensure the completeness, consistency, and accuracy of data captured in HMIS tools and applicable digital systems, including eAfya, digital registers, and Clinic Master.
  • Collaborate with district and regional partners to ensure the availability, functionality, and effective use of HMIS tools and digital systems, including eAfya, digital registers, and Clinic Master.
  • Support health facility staff in the timely compilation and submission of routine HMIS reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) and the regular updating of applicable digital systems.
  • Provide direct support to project-supported sites in reporting data to DHIS2, including data generated from community-based activities.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely updating of project trackers and reporting tools.
  • Support health facility teams in the timely updating of the electronic Case-Based Surveillance System (eCBSS) for TB to ensure complete, accurate, and functional case-based reporting.
  • Promote and support the use of data at both health facility and project levels, including participation in performance review meetings and data review processes.
  • Support district health teams and health facility staff in generating data summaries and reports that inform continuous quality improvement initiatives in TB and urban health programming.
  • Participate in data cleaning, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Provide occasional support to other health facilities in the Kampala, Mukono, and Wakiso district areas as instructed by the supervisor
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be assigned from time to time.
