Medical Officer

To participate in the management of adult cardiovascular patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive, admit, attend to, and discharge patients.
  

• Develop patient treatment plans.
  

• Collect data for medical records.
  

• Initiate and carry out investigations.
  

• Update patient records.
  

• Participate in ward rounds and in the specialty area.
  

• Supervise medical interns and trainees.
  

Person/Job Specifications:

• MB.Ch.B. from a recognized university or Master of Science (MSc) in Medicine (Internal Medicine) or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  

• Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
  

• Valid practicing license.
  

• Note: Appointed Medical Officers will undergo a fellowship program for specialization in Cardiology during their tenure of service.
